About Jennifer
Meet the Artist Behind the Training
I’m Jennifer James, founder of Breathe Day Spa & Salon, established in 2015 to bring spa-quality luxury services to Wendell, Idaho and the surrounding communities. My career began in massage therapy after graduating in 2006, and over the years I expanded into esthetics to create a full-circle understanding of beauty, wellness, and skin health.
Lashes are what transformed everything for me. After being introduced to eyelash extensions more than 13 years ago, I fell in love with the precision, artistry, and confidence they bring. That passion grew into teaching, allowing me to help new artists develop the skills, techniques, and mindset they need to succeed. Today, every service, product, and training I offer, including my Mini Lash Buyer’s Kit, reflects years of experience and a genuine love for helping others feel confident, capable, and beautifully unstoppable.

What exactly will I learn in the training?
You’ll learn everything you need to become a confident lash artist — not just the basics. I teach you lash theory, anatomy, health and safety, consultations as well as real techniques you can use right away, like isolation, mapping, styling, retention, and full set application. But I also go deeper with tips on how to work smarter, avoid common mistakes, price your services, and build a steady clientele. My goal is to set you up for success, not just give you a certificate.
Do I need prior experience to take the class?
Not at all. This training is designed for beginners — and I make sure you feel comfortable every step of the way. Whether you're brand-new or switching careers, I teach in a way that makes everything feel doable, clear, and exciting.
Is the training hands-on, online, or a mix?
It’s very hands-on. We practice on mannequins and live models so you get real experience with real lash challenges. I’m right beside you the entire time, coaching, correcting, and cheering you on so you leave feeling confident enough to take clients immediately.
How long is the training, and can it be done in one day?
Yes! You can choose a one-day intensive for classics or a two-day training including classics and volume if you want a little extra time and depth. Both options are structured to teach you exactly what you need without dragging things out. It’s fast-paced, focused, and designed to help you build skill — not overwhelm you.
How many students are in each class?
I intentionally keep classes small, usually no more than 3, so you never feel lost in the crowd. You get the kind of personal attention most training programs don’t offer — more hands-on support, more time to ask questions, and more chances to practice until it clicks.
Can I get one-on-one guidance if I struggle?
Absolutely. I’m known for giving patient, detailed guidance and making sure every student truly “gets it” before moving on. If you hit a rough spot, I stay with you until you feel confident. And the support doesn’t stop when the class ends — you can reach out to me personally anytime for questions, troubleshooting, or anything you need as you start taking clients. I want you to feel strong in your skills, not stressed, every step of the way.
Do I get a certificate after completing the training?
Yes — you’ll receive a certification of completion you can proudly display. But more importantly, you’ll walk away with real skills, not just paperwork.
Are lash products and tools included in the training?
Yes! You’ll get a starter kit filled with the same professional tools and products I personally use, so you can start practicing and taking clients right away. No guesswork, no extra shopping — I make sure you have everything you need to get started
How much does the training cost? Are payment plans available?
Pricing and payment plans vary depending on the training you choose. Just reach out — I’m happy to walk you through your options and help you find the best fit.
Where is the training held, and is parking available?
Training happens within my own building, Breathe Day Spa & Salon, in a designated area created specifically for lash training. It’s a private, focused space made for learning — and yes, we have convenient on-site parking.
Can I reschedule if I can’t attend the class?
Yes, you can reschedule with advance notice. Life happens — just reach out as soon as possible, and I’ll get you into the next available date.

How often should I get a facial?
I usually recommend every 4–6 weeks to keep your skin healthy and glowing. That way, I can adjust your treatment as your skin changes and make sure you’re getting the best results.
What products do you use in your treatments?
I use professional, results-driven skincare products that are gentle but effective. Everything I choose targets real concerns like dryness, aging, acne, and texture — all carefully picked to keep your skin healthy and radiant.
Can I combine a facial with other treatments like microneedling?
Yes! Many treatments work beautifully together. I’ll guide you on what’s best for your skin and how to space treatments safely so you get maximum results without irritation.
What types of massage do you offer?
I offer a variety of massages to fit your needs, including deep tissue, relaxation, hot stone, and fully customized sessions based on where your body needs the most attention that day.
How long are your massages?
Most clients love 60- or 90-minute sessions — enough time to fully relax, release tension, and leave feeling refreshed.
How long do the lash extensions last?
With proper care, most lash extensions last 2–3 weeks before a fill is needed. How long they last depends on your natural lash cycle and how you care for them at home.
Will extensions damage my natural lashes?
Not when they’re applied correctly! I use proper isolation, the right lash weight, and safe techniques to protect your natural lashes so they stay healthy and beautiful.
How do I take care of my lash extensions at home?
It’s simple: keep them clean, avoid oils around your eyes, brush them daily, and follow the aftercare tips I give you at your appointment. A little love at home makes them last longer and look amazing.
How long does an appointment usually take?
It depends on the service. A full set of lash extensions usually takes 1.5–2 hours, and fills are about 45–60 minutes. Facials and massages usually run 60–90 minutes so you get the full experience without feeling rushed.
What hair services do you offer?
We offer a full range of hair services, including cuts, coloring, highlights, treatments, and perms. Every service is customized to your hair type, lifestyle, and desired look so you leave feeling confident and polished.
Do you offer hair treatments for damaged hair?
Yes! We offer deep-conditioning, protein, and repair treatments to restore strength, shine, and health to your hair. I can recommend the best treatment based on your hair’s condition and goals.
Can I get a manicure and pedicure at the same time as other treatments?
Absolutely! We can coordinate services so you can enjoy multiple treatments in one visit — from nails to facials, lashes, or massages — making your time with us relaxing and efficient.
